Coffee Putri Indonesia 2011 Election


Beauty pageant in Indonesia is not new. But the pageant is different from the others.
If the usual beauty contest held to choose a woman who represented Indonesia in general, the concept is a little different this time. The Prince was elected to represent one of Indonesia’s famous native products in the world: coffee.
This is the election contest Indonesian Coffee Prince, which was held in cooperation of Indonesian Coffee Exporters Association (AEKI), Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia (SCAI) and the Association of Indonesian Coffee Farmers (APEKI) and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Republic of Indonesia, Ministry of Trade Republic of Indonesia and Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Centre).
The new contest was first held in Indonesia is aimed at promoting the image of Indonesia’s coffee on the world stage. A total of 33 women from 15 provinces participated in this event. In Ballroom Hotel Mulia, Monday, April 18, 2011, the finalists demonstrate skill in front of the jury. They also demonstrate their expertise to demonstrate a variety of clothing from famous designers such as, Lenny Agustin, Anne Avanti, Kopaka by cousin, Liliana Lim, Jenny Ang, Hian Tjen, Imelda Kartini and Irna Pearl.
In the end, Princess of South Sulawesi Laskary Andaly Coffee Prince was elected 2011. Later Laskary will be the Indonesian representative in the event the election or the World Princess World Coffee Queen of Coffee 2012.
World Queen of Coffee is an annual competition has been going regularly for 41 years in Colombia, South America. The participants came from various coffee producing countries and consumers from around the world.
